New Restaurant Alert: Hapa's Hawaiian BBQ in Lindon
Sit down, better than Mo'Bettahs.

When Cahlan, a friend from Twitter, told me Hapa’s was the best Hawaiian BBQ he’s had, my ears perked up.
I love 3 things. Hawaii, trying new food, and friend recommendations. So we gathered a random Twitter lunch group and tried it out.
We ordered Kalbi short ribs, saimin (Hawaiian style ramen), Garlic Chicken, and the Guava Cheesecake.
We chatted with the servers a bit while waiting. Turns out they have been open for about 2 months, and have sold out of their sweet and sour pork 3 times. They also order in their ramen noodles from Hilo, Hawaii.
Garlic Chicken - 9/10
Best thing we had. Just enough heat to make it interesting. Nice and crisp.
Saimin Hawaiian style ramen - 8/10
Delicious. Great noodles. Wish there was more char su pork. Japanese have ramen, Hawaii has saimin. And it is great.
Kalbi Short Ribs - 6/10
My friend loved them, and they had a great flavor and marinated, but I found them a bit fatty and tough.
Guava Cheesecake - 7/10
Would definitely get again. Great guava flavor. The cheesecake part is more no bake. Very thick graham cracker crust base which I loved.
Mac Salad (included side) - 4/10
Been striking out with the Mac salads lately. Didn’t love it.
Hapa's Hawaiian Style BBQ - 7/10
Would Hapa’s again.
I want to go back and try their Teriyaki burger and their Ube cheesecake.
