I love donuts. I think I have tried every donut shop in Utah Valley. Here are the top 6 shops, with 1 gluten free option!
Starting off with the newest, yet top ranked shop…
Parlor Donuts
The newest store in town, they just opened 2 weeks ago. Parlor has grown really fast. Started in Nashville in 2021, they already have over 50 franchises in multiple states.
Parlor calls them ‘famous layered’ but everyone else calls them basically fluffy cro-nuts.
And boy are they are delicious. Tons of flavors, they make these donuts fresh throughout the day.
They have a great app, and if you use the code JOSHUFVD4478 you $5 for free so try it out!

Provo Bakery
Compared to baby Parlor, Provo Bakery is the established favorite. Provo Bakery has been a Provo establishment for around for over 75 years, with Mark and Stefanie Tuckett have been running it for the last twenty years!
Mark learned the art of baking from his father, and grew up helping run their family business in Lehi, Lehi Country Bakery. He then managed bakeries for various chain-stores along the Wasatch Front, before purchasing Provo Bakery back in 2002.
Standout donuts are buttermilk bars, maple and butter bars, and glazed filled croissants.

Lehi Country Bakery
Home of the square donut. And they make them well, since 1969. They also trained Mark of Provo Bakery!
Some great options are the square glazed, old fashioned, fritters and the maple bars. I’ve heard reports the cinnamon rolls are great as well but I haven’t tried them yet.

Chubby Baker
Not your average flavors. Passion fruit, ube, thai coconut and more. They recently opened their Provo location right next to Trader Joes.
They use a similar base for most of the donuts which I don’t think is the best I’ve ever had, but the topping and frosting are great and super fun.

Spudly
Spudly burst onto the scene with their LinkedIn posts, big stop sign donut boxes, and delivery a couple of years ago. They started with just delivery but opened their location this year.
They make a GREAT potato donut. Their recipe comes from the Grandmother, Ora Mae May, who made them for over 70 years.

Lighthouse Donut and Coffee
A few years ago we started seeing delicious raised at the Provo Farmers market sold by Mennonite families. We would always get one. They are soft but chewy, not super airy like a Krispy Kreme.
Then last year, the donuts disappeared. And then I heard about a new donut shop run by Mennonites! I asked and yes they are the same.
Living Water Mennonite Church & Christian Ministry, a small congregation that moved to Provo as a mission church in 2012.
They make great donuts. A bit larger than normal, they are still the farmers market quality. Chewy, yet light.

Bismark Donuts
I wrote about Bismarck when they opened about 2 years ago. They are still great donuts but they have shifted focus a bit, now offering 100% gluten-free raised and cake doughnuts.
